So originally I created a trance/techno/house mix using my friend Matt's help and software called Magix Music Maker (i think that's it) but we ran into problems saving and exporting and we ended up losing it which was extremely frustrating because we spent so much time on it. It was a lot of fun playing around with the different beats though and hopefully we will be able to recover it. Anyways, as a last resort I went to my backup idea which was to show how much some songs are just the same as others.
You might have heard of the joke "Theory of a Nickelback" and whatever else which combines Theory of a Deadman and Nickelback because they sound so similar. Unfortunately i don't have any nickelback or deadman on my playlists (ha. ha.) and i had troubles downloading so I combined two other songs which have points in the song which actually have the same riff.
Sum 41 and Treble Charger have collaborated on a lot of songs and co-written a lot of tracks together and because of that there is a lot of crossover.
So at about 1:39 into the song Fat Lip by Sum 41 there is a breakdown where he sings "don't count on me....etc...etc..."
At about 1:52 into the song Hundred Million by Treble Charger there is also a breakdown and the guitar riff is almost exactly the same as the breakdown in Fat Lip.
I merged the two songs to create one. I wanted to do more overlays and change the timing because Hundred Million is about 1/16 of a beat off from Fat Lip but GarageBand sucks, or I suck for not really spending the time to learn the program. Anyways...
